Video interview on travel-mindsets, world wonders, and Mexico travel hotspots: Andrea´s secrets

Aloha amigos, amigas, readers, tired of BS- ones, Zen-ones and people of the internet!

How are you all holding up? If you find this year´s collective happenings just a teeny tiny bit tedious, hey, you are not alone. But fear not – a fun distraction is here. What would you say if I invited you to come along on a very non-tedious, light, insightful, and hopefully entertaining time-travel-ride? No, we are not going back to 8000 BC Egypt, and neither to the light and fluffy Middle Ages. We are traveling right back to February 2020, to a time that´s a measly six months ago, and yet feels like a completely different lifetime in many ways. Do you feel me?

Anyways, back to the time-travel-journey at hand. Drumroll… please say hello to A) A Gypsy-at-Heart´s first-ever video interview and B) The fantastic Andrea Hogan, an all-around marvelous traveler, serial ex-pat, and dear friend who hails from Mexico and has lived in such fantastic places as Southern France, Switzerland, Germany, as well as Queensland and Western Australia.

With travel-loving mining-engineer Andrea from Mexico in Perth, Australia

Throughout our interview, you´ll get to hear fabulous insider-tips on the best travel experiences from around the world and you´ll find out what hilarious stuff can happen to you if you tour France while sleeping in a 400 Euro-car. You ll also find out how to save money while traveling, how to spice up your daily life with a travel-mindset, and many, many more insightful and fun bits of first-hand-travel-wisdom.

Back to you, dear reader: Do you prefer to watch videos, read posts, or listen to podcasts? What did you enjoy most about this video? And which is your Number-one- travel-destination you would love to explore? As always, I would love to hear from you.

If you enjoyed the video, please subscribe to the A Gypsy at Heart- You-Tube-channel and gift me a little like. Arrigato and cheers, mates 🙂

  4. It was lovely to hear the voices. This was quite different to reading the written word. More information is conveyed in a shorter space of time and one gets the impression of what the blogger is like.

  6. This was a lovely post and interview. It’s always refreshing to hear different insights from the world nomads, as a passion for travel are for so many unique reasons. I do love blog posts as someone had mentioned because its easier to scroll and podcasts are fantastic to hear during walks and drives. While I enjoy video posts too, I do need to have the time and clarity of mind- for instance I couldnt watch this video all at one shot as tempting as it was- needed to keep going back to watch where I left off during my free time. But in any case what an amazing effort- loved both your personalities 😊

Listening to you both recounting stories of different places actually made me yearn for some adventure, which I’m sooo missing at the moment. But I’m sure I’m not alone there.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful energy and passions. I watched this in a couple of bursts, before and after my dinner tonight. 9. This is such an awesome interview – both of you have wonderful personalities which shine through your voices. It amazes me how social media and the internet connects the world together, and how both you and Andrea met up. Very much agree with the underlying joy of travel being the aspect of exploring, whether it is history, culture, and overall just the excitement. A wonderful spice of life.

What makes a good interview like this, is the camaraderie you two share – clearly a love of travel, and of sharing stories. This video format worked so well because you two really played off each other so well. I had planned to watch just a part of it but then it played well this morning preparing my coffee, breakfast, and getting things ready in the morning. Perfect. Wish you a great day ~ take care.

Cheers for your very uplifting and encouraging feedback, blogging just wouldn´t be the same without the wonderful connections and friendships that come through it:) Yes, travel is indeed a fantastic, and irreplaceable, spice of life, i so agree with you.
